The Argument
Jun. 19th, 2012 05:34 pmLohengrin backs Tutu up against the wall, his hands pinning her wrists.
"Foolish girl," he growls, ire in his eyes as he leans dangerously close. "What did you think you were doing?"
Tutu, for her part, does not shy away from his eyes. Her own flash with a surprising strength, ready to handle whatever the knight gives her and dish out the same if need be.
"Talking," she answers.
"To the enemy," he retorts. "To someone we know for a fact works for the Raven."
"But she is not the Raven," the princess says. "She may work for the Raven but that could change."
"And what would change her? You?"
Tutu's eyes droop to half-lidded, a small frown on her face.
"She just looked so sad, so lonely..." she tells him.
Lohengrin sighs, frustrated, and goes, "She is a spider spinning a web and you're willing to walk right into it."
The princess glares at the knight.
"Her feelings could be genuine."
Lohengrin's grip on her wrists momentarily tightened.
"She could use this to hurt you," he says, pushing her words aside. "To hurt the Prince. She might have already succeeded."
But as she continues to look at him, he lets go of her wrists. Her arms drop to her sides as he turns away from her.
"Sympathy is for everyone or it is not truly sympathy," the princess tells his retreating back.
The knight pauses in his steps a moment and says, "Foolish girl. Watch your step or you will rush headlong into your end."
